p.s. yes it is on a Harry Potter book. Yes I read all 7 in 2 weeks time. I have an empty spot now. Anyone know something good to read so I do not feel so empty?

Beside’s using a bigger hook, how would you go about adding two more rows to make it bigger? How would row 6 and 7 go then?

  1. Ooh good question! I will work on it! I daresay just keep doing row 5 over & over again adding dc where needed. the fpdc should always go where the previous round fpdc goes.

Fun and easy to do, i enjoyed working it up! As for another book to read… I have also read the entire Harry Potter series and loved them. I recommend the Twilight series if you haven’t already read them. I know there is a lot of hype about them but it really is a great story. Also, The Time Traveler’s Wife. GREAT story!

  2. Glad it worked up for you! And I will check into those books.

  3. I agree about the Time Travelers Wife. Twilight isn’t bad, but they are kiddie vampires. Sorry, but that is my opinion. If you want adult vamps then go with Anne Rice (the queen of vampire stories) or Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake series.

Love the pot holder. This is where I got the color love from. I was wondering where.

I am very new to crochet, still, can someone explain these abbreviations to me. I love this pattern, its so cute! But I can’t understand it!! Thank you.

  4. Suzanne what abbriviations are you having issues with?

    dc – double crochet
    ch – chain
fpdc – front post double crochet

I hope that is what you mean. Now to explain it I would go to crochetcabana.com or check out you tube.

I do not understand row 5, where do you put the dc after you chain 3. Can you help?

Aren’t there errors in the pattern – row 5 seems to be a mix of row 5 and 6? Went from 8 increases per row to 16. I’m just not smart enought to figure it out. Although I’ve pulled my hair out trying.
    Help.

Hi, this works up very nicely as written but I think there is a mistake in the
middle of row 5 as this part doesn’t seem like it belongs there.
( ch3, dc in same as joining.)

  5. I will be working this up to see what you mean. Sorry I did not know I had pending comments or I would have gotten on this sooner.

  6. I learned how to crochet when I was seven. It took me a long time to get it right but now I can make lots of items now. I love it!
